Questions for Pacesetter cat-back owners

Just a few questions before I get one......

How's the quality now after having it a little while?

How's the sound after getting some miles on it?

ANY indications whatsoever of deterioration/rust?

And how long you've had yours on, months and miles?

Thanks for the answers

i've heard both really good things and really bad things about pacesetter's quality... personally, i don't care... i'm getting the monza exhaust... the way i figure, it won't rust out any quicker than the stock exhaust, and it sounds better and gives more power... who knows if i'll have this car for more than 2 years, so the extra 200-400 for stainless may be a waste.

Thumbs up

i got mine a few weeks ago, and i love the sound, theres only a few hundred miles on it, but its the best 200 bucks ive spent so far, fit great except i had to jack up the rear end to fit over the rear suspension, because of my sportlines, but theres still plenty of clearance, after i got it in.

i got mine a couple weeks ago and ive put about 1000k on it. It sounds really nice and the fitment was excellent. all i had to do was lower the crossmember in the rear and the whole thing went in as one peice. the down side is when it's cold it's sounds like a honda exhaust, but once i tighten the clamps and put some sealer on it, that should go away. no rust yet but i did give it a shot of flat black rust paint. I suggest that you spend an extra doller and weld the pipes to prevent leaks. I have the sportlines and sometimes i bottom out on curbs but i think it's the clamps scraping so im gonna turn them around. other then that, awsome for 200bucks!

Thank you I was just getting ready to point that out. Anyhow I have had the pacesetter exhaust on for more than 3000 miles (I don't actually remember when I got it but it was definately more than 3000 miles) and it still sounds great. It fit perfectly when I put it on and it hasn't rusted yet and I've driven through plenty of puddles. It does sound a little raspy at start up but after a little it sound great. You'll love it and for $200 its a great deal.

ive had mine on about 4 months roughly 6000 miles, theres not any fiberglass or sound deadening material in the muffler so the sound shouldnt change that much with age. no rust yet, but the paint on the midpipe has baked off from the heat. just be sure to be ready to take it to a muffler shop and have it welded together as soon as you install it.

I didn't get mine welded and I have no problems and no leaks you just have to tighten the clamps and you wont have any problems.
