I am going to buy a catback exhaust system soon. There are so many to choose from. I had Magnaflow on the car I previously owned and was impressed with it's performance. I was thinking about going with the DC Sports catback system due to the fact that it's cheaper than the Magnaflow. If you have a DC Sports system, what is your experience with it? Do you like the sound? What is the performance like? Thanks.

P.S. If anyone has a clip of the MAgnaflow system on their Cobalt, that would be great.

 

I have an 06 Cobalt with a Pacesetter cat-back. It does really well despite what others have told me about it. It was cheaper too which is a reason why I went with it...

 

Go with magnaflow! It sounds really good! I just got it 2 weeks ago and it performs well and i've got many compliments on it. I have a clip of it on my myspace. um..cant get the direct link cause its blocked here at my work. go to myspace and search and type in wdsoccer102005@netscape.net for the email and it should come up. im trying to download another clip with my camera inside the car.

There is a group buy for the GM Performance cat-back that was posted a couple of days ago. I'll try to find it for you- the price was really good.

 

Expired. Crate Engine Depot still has a good price, and Cobalt Addiction has the DC sports exhaust for about the same price as a GMPP exhaust.

 

man go magnaflow, just cause another brand is cheaper doesnt mean you should get it... it has a great tone, i have dual magnflows on my 2.2 and love the sound..... there is a clip of my exhaust floating around somewhere one of my friends uploaded it i dont know what the thread name is.... but go with something that you will be proud of... if your gng to spend the money do it the way you really want it...

By the sound of it in that video it sounds nearly identical to those on the 2.0 and 2.4 that I've heard firsthand. I never once heard the Magnaflow pop or sputter on either engine and the tone was clean so I'd assume the 2.2 would be the same. If the cost isn't a huge deal I'd stick personally with the Magnaflow (hell if I could actually "save" my money I might buy the damn thing ).
