QUIET exhaust?

Hello everyone. I have been thinking about modifying the exhaust system on my car but I want to leave it as quiet as possible. I don't mean as quiet as stock but as close as possible. On my previous S10, I have a Flowmaster 40 that was nowhere near quiet and also had ALOT of interior noise. I replaced it with a Ravin 77 Series(yeah, the ones from Midas but got it from a local exhaust shop) and that helped it out alot. Not too loud unless you were at WOT and the interior noise level wasn't bad at all. The only thing is, I knew that muffler was real long and not sure that it would fit under our cars. So my question is, does anyone know of a performance exhaust that is quiet? I also leave work early in the mornings and do not want to annoy my neighbors when I leave the house. And it doesn't matter if it's a full cat back or just a muffler either. If it's just a muffler, there are a few good exhaust shops that can mandrel bend pipe to complete the system. Thanks in advance

I like to hear exhaust, but i hate those fart cans on every honda ever made. i agree with T Dawg, a throaty v-8 with flowmasters or something is a thing of beauty, but on a 4 cylinder, i just wanna hear it purr, not rattle

B&B exhaust has some great sounding mufflers i've been trying to find one that will work easily with our cars. The Mini Cooper they have on there is what i am comparing ours to.

Just curious, has anyone heard a Flowmaser 60 Series on our cars? Or the long Magnaflow mufflers(supposed to be quieter the longer they are??)?

Im personally going with the Cat-Back Borla exhaust system when it comes out, hopefully it even comes with headers. Had a turbo muffler on my z24, best sounding car ive ever heard... very low bassy, only loud at like 90 mph

Just got back from the exhaust shop

Well, I just got back from the exhaust shop. I did end up odering the magnaflow muffler thats above and I just had it installed. I have sound clips also and will post them here. When I took the car in, I told the guy what I was looking for and at first he seemed unsure if it was going to be quiet. Well, I thought I would give it a shot and if it was loud then I would just get something else that they had. Once the car was up on the rack, i found out that the stock exhaust on these cars is 1 3/4" and I had a 2 1/4" muffler. Oops. Ah well, they could install it anyways. After waiting awhile, they installed it and fired it up. And its just what I was looking for too. It's not loud, not ricey, and theres almost no interior resonance. There is a little resonance but above 3k RPM the motor is louder than the muffler. And around 2.5k(cruising speed), it's barely noticeable. So I would have to recommend a setup like this if your looking for performance without the noise. HTH

well, i tried posting clips but they never would upload. I'll try hosting them elsewhere and creating a link.in the meantime, here are the pics of the setup.
