UPDATE TIME!!!

I found the LE5 locally out of an 06 G6.

Also got my head gasket from the dealership at cost and ordered the timing kit as well.

When payday comes again, I will order the ARP studs and begin the fun part.

My valves are in perfect shape and sludge free, since I use Chevron and Shell ever since day 1.

Didn't your tensioner fail because you didn't put new guides in? Either way, good to hear that your valves are fabulous with vegetable juice. Pretty sure mine will be very efficient after everything is said and done. Plus prove to the nay-sayers what can and can't be done.

Sadly no. GM just put shitty pistons and rods in the L61.

Usually people break the rings and things are simple. Mine just had to ride the rebel bus and blow a hole in the block lol.
As an FYI I had my factory L61 unning 280-290 whp for 7-8 months and a fellow turbo L61 from FL was running 17 pounds on a T4 and dynod 311 and it ran that way for over a year. 250 was a myth and that popped using nitrous after running for hours taking shock after shock of nitrous hits on stock fuel injectors using the nitrous nozzle

If u want to buy stock pair brand new. Go to rock auto.com they are always cheaper than gmpartdirect. And shipping is fast. Bought all my stuff there and they have gasket kits also and other kits like for the timing kit. So u don't have to buy it individually.

All in all nice to get an upgrade in the power department.

I'm excited to help out during the build, and also to drive the car again.

Sadly, a certain someone I think doesn't give a **** about it.
