Rear brake swap
No, they don't. and i wouldn't suggest you swap.
doing so is not as easy as you may think, besides needing new lines and the brakes themselves, you need new hub carriers, prolly rear hubs and bearings, i doubt the shocks would work as well, as they may have different mounting points.
all that is just on top of the issues you face making the valves supply the rear with enough fluid. and i don't think the ABS would work right after that.
honestly, drums are not that bad. they're reliable, don't wear nearly as much and the parking brake system is a WORLD simpler. a lot of people are kinda turned off by them because they don't look as cool and that when you open the drum, it's a lot of dirty brown springs. honestly though, they work better than you think at actually stopping the car.

. Either buy the kit or don't do the conversion, as simple as that. As joeworkstoohard was trying to point out, it's not just a quick swap and woo I have rear discs. There's a lot more involved in it. So if you're not willing to do it right, don't do it at all.
SSBC makes a rear disk conversion for us apparently but it aint cheap.

Its too bad the SS/SC didn't have the 4x100 bolt pattern or that could have been a more cost effective option.

would it be possible to say find an ss that was t-boned and somehow all the brakes were fine that you could swap the brakes hubs discs etc so instead of the 4-100 you would have 5-110 did that make sense al in all you would have ss brakes

another thing to keep in mind is that you will have unbalanced braking if you start switching out components on one end with the other. wouldnt want to swap out just the rears without doing something to the fronts to compensate for the fact that the rears now have a greater/lesser stopping power.

RSM Racing has a kit out thats about $900 I think...a little cheaper than the SSBC one.

I considered doing brakes on my project, but found out two problems that kept me from making the switch...
First, there would be no increase in stopping performance at all. A big brake kit will dissipate heat faster, but for street use and drag racing, the stockers are more then adequate. The greater heat dissipation would really only help in rally racing.
Second, you have to have a 17" minimum wheel size for the kits. To drag race, I'll going to want to use 15" steel wheels with slicks, and they just plain won't fit.
