i like the progress your making. i found a used saab exhaust manifold for 50$ close by to me so i think ima pick that up. i looked at the tubro it uses and it was a garret turbo similar size to the k04 so i may swap. ive been reading up on compressor maps also and how to read them and think i may have found the turbo i wanna go with when i swap.

did you sand them and do full paint prep or did you just paint over the polished aluminum??

My sc is painted. I did like 6 coats of rustoleum 1000 degree clear on it. Engine enamel. Its holding up nice but i chipped it when i had to get a coolant line off becuz it was leaking. Other than that its holding up great

well we finaly figured out what the **** is wrong with me, went back to the doc today she took one look down my throte took a swab and low and behold I have strep so they geve me super strep killers to go with the meds im already on so that makes 6 hourse pills a day plus a decongestant, pain killers, and some other crap so around 16 pills a day the good news is that since the meds I was on before were already fighting the strep I dont have to go through another 24 hr quarantine so other than the increase in pills my life is not changing much

Idk I like the set boost of the S/C but I like the possibilities of the turbo, I was thinking it would be cool to modify or fabracate a LSJ intake manifold to run the s/c but have the TB after the S/C that way it would be easier to tune to go twin charge and just have an aem truboost to turn on or off the turbo wastegate so when Im crusing around town the wastegate opens allowing only the S/C to operate then have the ability to swap to boost seting b on the tru boost and open the turbo and S/C for super boost but thats just an Idea I had but thats like 5k worth of parts along with needing to get stuff made and or buying the tools to make the parts and honistly I dont want to spend 800 on a welder that welds aluminum

thats way more complicated than anyone should want to tackle. plus the only good thing about a twincharge setup is you can say. im twincharged... a bigger turbo would produce WAY bigger numbers than a twincharge setup.

not exactly, true a biger turbo will generate more power but the more power it will produce the longer it will take to get to the high power the poing of the twin charge setup is to have a powerfull car thats still streatable without as much lag also like I said have the turbo only generating boost when the boost controler comands it that way the S/C makes all the power you need till some punk ricer pisses you off then its full boost time any way if I was going to twin charge I would endup puting a huge turbo on it which is why the S/C/turbo makes sence. but I dont forsee any projects like that in my future. from what I have read about peoples experiences its eather a hit or miss thing eather you get it right or you have catastrophic engine failure

yah.... haha im worried about blowing right now. i need to get a new clutch so i can dyno and see where im at exactly.

on a lighter note. i may have come across a LNF manifold and turbo for pretty cheap, under 600$

may go that route instead of trying to make that saab turbo manifold work on my car.
