bingo

ive been in excess of 150 , yippie , the car was only partially equiped to go that fast

the cobalts like the rest of most low lever trim cars from any company , dont have the suspension parts or brakes to , for even going 75-80 on the freeway , even the ss/sc is questionable

80-90% of the people only care about gong fast and could careless about stopping , and no stock size upgrades are not always enough

but eh what ever , as long as your not in phx , i dont have to worry about your driving

I have tried SO many times to explain that to people and they never listen. thank you for letting me know I'm not insane.

its hard to resist the smell of HP. but the intelligent people do the chassis first. the susp/brakes are what im more worried about, esp with my car having BS rear drums. i need to get those replaced quick like.

my cav ive got 12.2 wilwoods with 4 piston calipers , and 12 corvette with the vette pbr rear calipers , full suspenson , anti sway bars , braces

and my speed gov is still set at 108 , granted mine is a auto , and now that hp tuners is out i can change it so its higher up

but right now i dont see myself doing the full road course racing , where id need to go over 108 , down the long straights

and my 1/4 trap speed is still under 108 , but its still quick enough to run into the 13's once the weather cools , best 1/4 is 14.38 @ 95

sweet....i was hoping to clear 100mph on spray eventually at the 1/4 but my heart lives on the road track so ill be there plenty.....i just dont think that enough credit is givin to these lil cars....they can fly if u set it up right....even the 2.2's like mine have great potential...just takes $$$$ to get it there...as soon as HPTuners gets their ass in gear clearing 100mph in 1/4 w/o spray shouldnt be too hard

100mph traps aren't exactly an easy feat, I dont' think many will be hitting that n/a without some very major work done. with the nitrous it might still take a bit of effort.

very true....but once the tuners are released it wont be AS hard as it is now but i think w/ my upcoming mods (Injen CAI, DC Catback, ECU modifier(not tuner) and the bottle going in eventually) 100mph traps will be np

don't get too discouraged, I'm just saying don't expect to trap over 100 on the 2.2 with basic bolt-on. between the gearing and weight, it would take a more power than that's going to make.

I wish we had a slightly shorter geared tranny sometimes, would make things a lot easier haha

gearing is mechanical, you can't change that with trans control. what you're thinking of is probably shift points and such on the automatics.

true, but gearing is gearing, that's what I"m speaking of. a slightly closer ratio gearset on the manual anyway would be a bit more fun IMO

you don't want 100mph traps, that just means u can't hook up
