SAI Question

With a tune, you can have the SAI removed, but are their any physical pieces that have to be removed or is it just a computuer thing? anotherwords can I instlal a header on an 08 with SAI and just have a tune to get rid of the CEL

Well, im pretty sure there is a whole thread about sai, but you dont really have to remove all the pieces of the pump and hoses and what not, but you might as well considering you won't need them, and its a little more weight off the car, which is something good.

this is correct. if the CEL is removed thrugh a tune, you can just let the system sit. I didnt remove mine till i did my SC install.

You will need to unbolt the Check valve from the exhaust manifold. and depedending on your header choice you may need to remove the check valve from the head. You can leave everything else if you are so inclined, just cap off any hoses you leave so they dont fill with debris.
