SAI tricky?

Long story short when I first bought the car I bought an injen cold air intake from ttr. I realized i had this extra tube that would not connect to the intake. ttr was nice enough to let me return it and swap for the typhoon which overall has three ports for everything which was sai supportive. Now i'm looking for a header that is sai compatiable and after looking behind my block it seems that i dont need an sai header. I dont see anything pertruding where it would fit in nicely with a sai header. Iam so confused right now any help would be great

pics? I just did a re-read on this and am at a loss Do you have the flow meter thing on the back side of your engine? It has a pig tail coming to it and it bolts onto your valve cover on the back side. if you don't have that, I have absolutely no clue why you had the SAI intake tube.

thanx for the quick response to the pic and yeah i would tune it out if i dindt have a intake and would pick up a cold air intake but at this point ill just get the sai header to match. So i think theirs only one header with sai by ppe engineering because Cobalt-addicition is no longer working site or sumthin?

You can always just remove it and remove it via a tune? Then use any header kit, like vibrants long tube.

Yeah just cause it will throw a code doesn't affect your engine. The SAI is such a stupid thing anyway.

yeppers! Sorry i haven't been on, but i just zip tied it to something, and proceeded to get pissed with it and yanked all the air lines out
but just for reference, the little corrugated metal tube that makes a 90* bend into the top of your exhaust manifold is all the SAI is. such a stupid system anyway. Be sure to pull your relay (It's named air pump or something, it's on the fuse map) if you get rid of all of your SAI stuff, I always had people ask me if i had an ebay electronic blower on my car when I'd start it...

I pulled the relay so the air pump doesn't run at all, I got lazy and didn't remove/unplug the pump. your prerogative on what you want to do

I honestly never really gave it the time to look for it, but I'm guessing the pump is on the front of the block? I couldn't tell you on that one.

Should be called AIR PUMP on the fuse box under the hood. You're looking for a relay, so it's a big cube instead of a little fuse.
