Determine if cobalt is SAI

Hey everyone, Im trying to determine whether or not my cobalt has a SAI. Its an 07 and before I never even bothered to look as to wether or not it had the SAI becuase I figured it was just a given that it did. Ive taken some pictures from the sticky at the top of this page and compared them to pics i have taken of my own car. I have also included pictures from a PDF file made by K&N which was origionally labled as instructions on how to intall a SR with the SAI hook-up.

So far, from what i can see, i do not have the SAI. Also, I live in Ontario, and although we may not be as strict as California in relation to emissions, i assume were comparable to NY (hence why i expected to have the SAI)

Let me know what you think,
Thanks,
Jordan

Picture from Sticky at top of page

Pictures from my Car

I dont see anything resembling what the sticky highlighted.

BUT, once i looked at the K&N pics, they seemed to resemble my car, even tho they're for an SAI hookup.

The following im sure isnt the SAI?

Finally, this following pictures looks most like the SAI to me. In the K&N instructions it tells 2005 owners to skip this step and plug the hole. So infact is the following the SAI?

Thanks for your help guys, and hopefully this help other SAI owners determine what setup they have.

that tube to the top right of the airbox, just to the left of the engine, that's the sai hose. you don't have it on your car. no worries

when you start the car, there's a pump that sucks fresh air from the airbox, and feeds it into the manifold. the tube runs from the airbox, around the front of the engine, and into the pump that sits on the stock exhaust manifold. it's emissions related, and is only on some late 06 and 07 2.2 models. in the last pic he posted, if you see the crank case line running from the stock intake to the engine, look directly to the back of the engine, you can see the hookup thats connected to the manifold.

It's only in certain states that have strict emissions regulations. NY and some other northeast states have it. Cali too.

Its called Secondary Air Injection, it has been around for years, its main purpose is to provide fresh air, mainly oxygen, to the catalytic converter to help heat it up more quickly for optimim performance. This system I thought was dead and gone, I guess they still use it. Has to be maybe a Cali emissions model or something.
