Hold on to your money until next winter. The TC's will be down in price. I'm sure driving an 07 LS for another 9 months won't be horrid (I drive one too, and am also planning on going SS) lol
Plus you'll have an easier time with people saying "Cobalt Super Sport? More like Slowbalt Super Slow! HAR HAR HAR" and then you smoke them with your 260HP Stock boosted rape machine. Then get a GMS1 and rape even more.

I dont know man. For me it would be a little pointless to SC my LS. Even though I did make a thread on what could be done to it to improve performance , I still think just getting the whole SS package is a better deal. Unless you turn your car into an awesome sleeper car, then i think thats bad ass
sleeper. exactly thats how mine kinda is now. im running steelies and have an ss exhaust setup so it looks like a granny ls but with the loud straight through muffler and short ram intake. now with a sc under the hood and the ls badges still on it. would be SICK
IMO to make a 2.2 a sleeper it would take more power than the stock internals can handle. A lot of other car guys that look at a Cobalt doesn't know the diff between trims. I met a 2.2 Cavalier a long time ago (turbo, stand alone, etc) that stayed dead even with my full bolt-on, geared New Edge GT, though really in the scheme the GT was still slow. I guess it did surprise me a little being stock to the wheels but not a OMG look at that.

I agree with Perfect.disguise, if you're not going to end up going beyond what the stock internals support its probably not going to be a 'wow, what a sleeper' kind of car. It will however be fun to drive haha.

I say go for it im an LS but dont look stock im loud, and real easy to spot in a crowd, i wish i woulda gone with the sleeper look, are u auto, or standard, if ur an auto and get a tune, you will fly through the gears like nothing else, but it all really comes down to your opinion, bc half of us will say yes, and the other half would say no, Goodluck
