Self-Tuning Software available?

#1: WOULD YOU BUY THE SOFTWARE IF IT COST _$X_
#2: DO YOU HAVE A '05-'06 L61?

Ok, this is a pretty important question. We all know that Vince at Trifecta can tune all of the L61's and that LS2edit can tune the '07+ L61s. But how about the '05-'06 L61 crowd?

Basically, I'm just trying to figure out what kind of market exists for people who would rather tune their own ecotecs whenever they liked instead of having Vince do it for them.

I don't really have the desire to learn to tune myself any longer but it would be a nice option to have...

Are you asking that Vince make his software available to customers, or are you suggesting an alternate piece of software?

I think the wording of the original post is just a little off.

im figuring out if Vince (or anyone else for that matter) has a market to sell to. He has been tinkering with the idea of releasing DIY tuning software

Yeah I heard the same. If it was for me tuning only my car I would pay 2-300, if I could do the other Balts too I can see 4-500 being pheasble

he isnt testing it yet... he's just made the software, but I beieve all he did was make it slightly user friendly...or maybe he didnt. Maybe all he's got is the same interface he uses.

I would definately jump on having tuning software.

It would be good to be able to learn how to tune and/or have someone local do dyno tunes.

Trifecta will probably be a more likely company to get it going, though it would be cool if SCT got in too. Ive been watching SCT make false promises for a long time on here though, so im a bit skeptical of whether or not they'll actually follow through with what they say.

Either way, through SCT or Trifects, a DIY tuning solution would be awesome to have.

Well the answer to this for me is hell yes, i have been waiting on this to happen. Vince talked about it alittle when i got my tune from him.

What vince does is great but i feel if i can use the software myself, the tune could be dialed in a bit more and i could also take the car to a dyno...

I can't see paying more than $300 for the software and cable though. Now if i have the ablility to tune other cars i may pay a bit more...

Shitty part is, i already purchased a tune from vince, he did an awesome job, but i will be pushing things up a bit in the near future and will have to purchase another tune. I've been trying to wait too see if this came thru, i will really be pissed if i pay again, then he releases this software...
