Shifters.

Ok so I did a search and couldnt find any threads. Has anyone found a good short throw shifter for the 2.2? I saw a Hurst shifter for the 2.0 SS/SC but I couldnt find one for our 2.2's. Is there anything decent like those out there?

TWM, works like a dream and the only good option out there for the 2.2's hard to believe you couldnt find anything about it, but go with TWM!

Check E-bay...That short throw is of made of good quality materials. And fit very well although you have to pay attention to detail when installing it. I used twm's online instructions and everything went together beautifully. The shifter works great the only thing is that is could benefit from some form of attaching the boot or a new boot but thats it....i will try to get some pics. For the money i was very pleased

i have a question to add to this.. something about the reverse lockout, do any of these keep the reverse lockout ? because i dont want to be driving and go into reverse..even if it is really hard to do, i dont want to make it possible..lol

reverse lockout is on the ss/sc, to go in reverse, you have to lift up on the knob and acually go into the reverse gear. the 2.2s do not have it. thats why the TWM is the only shifter that will fit our cars.

you guys don't have any sort of lock out? i would assume you have some sort. on my car there isn't a "lock out" per say, but you can't shift into reverse if the shifter is away from the left side (1 and 2) for more than like 2 seconds. that way you can't misshift into reverse. i assume you guys have something like that...
