Simple Question

When you do the 2.4 intake mod and you run the 2.4 throttle body
you need:
a tune!
and what about the plug to pug it all in does the factory one with the 2.2 throttle body fit?

The 07 is a different harness. I have the throttle body but it doesnt clip in. There has to be a way to wire it, but i aint the guy to try that.

There has been posts on this subject. You cant run a 2.4 TB with a 2.2. The Computer detects the extra air flow as a vacuum leak and puts the car in limp mode.

Yes you can run a 2.4 tb on a 2.2, people are doing it. The only problem is that the 07 cobalt uses a different harness on the throttle body than the 05-06 that use the same harness as the 2.4.

That can be rewired. How are they overcoming the programing issue? Did Trifecta add that to their list or did HPtuners get smart?

to run the 2.4 mani, you need the adapter from CED, unless you have a 07 plus in which the bolts r the same, if you put a 2.4 TB on any 2.2 u will hit limp mode, there is no need for a 2.4 mani unless your boosted, even with he mani u dont need it...they tested it already, even when it was all tuned for, the 2.4 flowed the same as the 2.2 one...

Research.

Best place to start.

This way when you need information you can ask very specific questions. Its hard to give advise when there are too many generalities. ie What does the stock 2.2 TB flow? as opposed to: How much hp can my ride make?
