Well I'm parting out my car basically yo sell it, and when I put the stock exhaust manifold, downpipe, and the SS exhaust I had steam or smoke coming from the exhaust manifold. Is that common when you have that sitting in a garage for about a year? I checked no leaks or nothing

 

Well one your probably burning off the dust it collected from sitting and if it got wet at all that won't help. Did you put on a new manifold gasket when you put it back on? Have you re torqued the manifold bolts after doing a complete heat up and cool down cycle?

 

I didn't put a new gasket on. Yeah I tighten them pretty damn good.

 

u shoulda put a new one on depending how the old one looked. how many miles are on it

 

28,000 as of now. If needed i'll go to advanced and take it off again.

 

you don't have many miles. if it looked clean and well new you'll be ok. don't over tighten, torque down to whatever the specs are

 

prob junk that has been sitting on the manifold burning off
