So I ordered the trifecta tune...

What are some things I should make sure Vince includes in the tune?

I am going to get the speed governor removed and get it tuned for the 2.4 intake manifold. I'm also going to have the automatic transmission tuned as well so I won't have to use the b&m shiftplus.

What other requests are people making...especially anything auto tranny specific....

Will going to a higher octane be beneficial? I'm thinking maybe of bumping it to 90 or 91...

he makes it so you run 93, premium, no other choice, you must run it...also might as well tune for a intake and full exhaust, that way when you get it you dont have to re-order it ya know...just throw itona nd it will be like it was ment to be

he doesnt set it for 93 only....he tunes, does ANY tune...and that INCLUDES advancing for 93 octane, but thats if you ask for it. Hell, I cant even FIND 93 here in Ventura. Supposedly theres a 76 near me that sells 100 octane, but otherwise every other gas station ive seen around me sells 91 as its highest

he cant tune for 87 regular? i know he cant get asmuch out of it, but i know he can get something. im totally against the people who shut their car off at red lights and gas *****, and i normally would never say this but im in school and drive a 300 mile round trip at least once a month, sometimes twice a month. since im a poor college kid sometimes i only put in ten bucks at a time, sometimes less. priemum prices wont cut it.

plus most premium around here is 91. idk if that makes that big of a difference or not but im sure its something.

i know that im gonna get a lot of "then dont get it" and "if gas is important to you dont mod" and such posts in response, but thats ok.

ive always been performance minded, and feel in regards to toys that to play you must pay, but this is kind of dumb. i know its essentially a "canned" tune and testing is kind of limited, but i feel that a regular grade gas tune is in order. i have full bolt ons and im considering the 2.4 mani. im sure he could pull a decent amount of power from it while still on 87. not as much as primium obviously, but still something. plus you still get the govenor removed (kinda useless imo lol) and engine limiters and do dads played with and adjusted. so the tune would still be worth it.

i would drive a few hours to be the "test dummy" but im from michigan.

sorry for venting/ranting but its just my opinion

while i agree with most of what you say in my previous post, i hope the extra cost of premium isnt whats stopping you. $4.60 vs $4.85 is not a big difference. thats a $53 fill up instead of a $50 fill up....the extra $3 shouldnt be holding you back....

to maximize those future mods potential, you would want to run a higher octane. it would be silly to spend a lot of money on parts and not use them to their full potential because of a $7 variance. what does the $7 really matter when you're already spending $50 to fill a compact car? you can't win either way so you might as well enjoy what you can

If reg is 3.70, mid would be 3.80, premium is 3.90.

Mike its really no big deal, I have no prob affording it... plus I dont think im gonna take my car to school next semester, so I'll have to bum rides now and then and im always good for gas money.

You don't have to run it but you produce more numbers. (Higher hp and tq)

don't know who your baggin on with that **** but i run a 75 wet shot so i guess that rant wasn't directed at me. I pay more just to spray the you do to fill up your gas tank. as to the price of gas it is what it is but i don't see that much of a gain coming from shelling out the extra change.

Since I can only get max 91 octane here, I hope he can set it for 91.

Does anyone know what sorta gains I'd be looking at with intake, zzp header/dp, gmpp touring, 91 octane....and eventually the 2.4 intake manifold.

Sorry to be a noob, but I have been away for a while. I just have a few questions:
Is Trifecta the only tuning software available for the 2.2?
Also how do I contact Vince, and I assume this is a plug and play tune.

I think 20 to 30 Hp is getting his hopes up a bit too much
Look at my mods I have the CAI/Header/Dp/2.4 Intake Mani and Tune for 92 Oct.
I would say I got about 7 to 12 Hp after the tune
Before was around 150 WHP
After the Tune I ass-sume it's around 157 to 160 WHP
It was worth $275 IMO
