Speed limiter

Is there Anything on the market to get rid of it? or at least change it. Mine shuts off at 105 and it makes me mad, that i want to turbo or run nitrous and this limiter put a full stop on me moding my balt

OMG ANOTHER ONE!! Please use the search feature...

1.) unless you upgrade your tires, the stock ones arent rated for speeds over 105
2.) you could get the GM 2.2 flash that is on the "sport" models, that raise the speed to 120
3.) How are you going to tune for this turbo?
4.) How big of a shot are you planning on running that you think your going to trap over 105?

i used search but within the first 2-3 pages didn't see anything plus having internet issues

Well for track i don't plan on running that fast. but im thinking on a 75ish

Turbo, i was going to run a piggyback but not sure if that eliminates the speed limiter

Try setting the option, to search thread titles only, instead of entire posts... should get you some better results

105?
i have a base balt..power nothing..and mine goes 112..
Only did this once just to see what i top out at..theres really no reason to go over 90 or so on open street/highway whatever. So stick to your 105 and you'll be safe

Same, i thought it was 105mph then one day i was on the empty by-pass and just happened to down shift and see what it would do, and i had it up to 110mph before i let off. Kinda stupid to do cuz the continentals that are on there are only rated for 112mph.

what is considered a sport model? i have a 06 lt coupe and it came from the factory toppin out at 125 mph... it would go faster than that of it didnt cut off at that speed cuz it almost revs out 3rd at that speed and wont shift to over drive cuz im still holding it to the floor... so i know it would at least run 140 to 150 if it didnt cut off and the fuel wasnt cut back cuz of the tuning... hp tuners needs to hurry up and make us somethin cuz our cars have a lot of potential.....
