Speedometer Lag

So I noticed while driving, specially since my speed is increasing from upgrades, It seems to have to play catch up, like if I hit the clutch and just cruise itll catch up to my actually speed. Is this with all cobalts? Is it something like a fuse?

get your speedo re calibrated or buy a new one.you'll never keep your eye down long enough on your speedo to get a legit time. it takes too long for it to get up to 60

Even with someone recording it. and when i come to a complete stop it still catches up. I did ressearch apparently it is a problem with the cobalts. so where could i get it re calibrated? and getting a new dashboard gauge would fix it?

The gauge cluster is running on the GMlan low speed bus, the whole damn thing is laggy. That's one of the many reasons I got rid of my stock boost gauge in favor of a mechanical. I know of no way to make it read faster, I'm sure it's possible but how is beyond my knowledge.

Ill hit up the chevy dealership tomorrow and ill figure out if they have any answers. really isnt that big of a deal. other than the wanting to know my times. so ill probably buy one of those bluetooth obd II and the Torque app and let it be smarter than the cars computer.

Cobalt speedometers lag pretty bad on pulls. Trust me the faster you get the worse the lag is. That little needle can only move so fast. The tach lags too.

I think the tach lags even worse. Especially since my lightweight flywheel has been in

Download a pocket dyno app on your phone. They are pretty accurate for 0-60 times.

Don't worry, you'll be certain its redline if the rod and piston goes through engine block
