before you badger me with the search button here me out.

Ive just search through 100x threads, there are only a small handful that are about 2007 2.2's. 05-06 are different and 08+ is different. There are install how to for both of those.

The guy i bought the intake manifold from said its a used 2.2 CEG kit, all i need to do is get the 1/2 3ft of hose, which i did today and then it just bolts on.

I did more searching today and found way to many threads about not being able to reuse gaskets and other things, I realize i dont have to drill anything because i have a 2007 and it should fit on with the TB adapter right? (people have directly told me yes and no)

So someone please clarify this for a 2.2 L61 07. Thank you!!!!!! Im getting tuned soon as well if that makes any difference.

 

if you get the right adapter it should work fine.


im a 07 but i did the tune/IM/TB all at once so i didnt need an adapter. I also used the old gaskets. I just cleaned them up and reinstalled and i havent had an issue at all

 

Is this a definite? Ive had 3-4 people tell me 07 needs no plate, then ive had maybe 5-6 say it does. And the people that said that I did in fact need an adapter did NOT have a 2007 2.2


So im just trying to clarify, hopefully it helps people (if any) in my similar situation.

 

if your using the 2.2 TB then I am of no help. I stockpiled parts and did the 2.4TB/2.4IM/Tune all at once so i never messed with using the 2.2 tb again

 

you DO NOT need the adapter on an 07 100%

 

07 is same as 08, so 08 install applies

 

Well depends on the year mani you got...I have a 06 and got the +08 on mine and needed the adapter for my stock tb the older model mani you don't need the adapter plate...found this out the hard way

 

I have an 07 L61 as well and I used the older style intake mani. I did NOT need an adapter plate for mine
