squeak

so whenever i have my foot on the brake and let off it i hear this squeak. it sounds like it is coming from the rear. its not the squeeks of my brakes liek when i slow down its if im fully stoped. i already got an alignment and got my front and rear brakes resurfaced. and i dont know what it is.

It could be a brake shoe squeak or a rear suspension bushing.

It is the shoe rubbing against the backing plate on the drum(s).

What you need to do to fix it:

1. Buy brake grease.
2. Jack up the car and take both rear tires off.
3. Take the drums off of both sides.
4. Take a big flat-head screwdriver, and pry the shoe pad towards you.
5. Apply the brake grease along the inner side of the shoe, where it means the backing plate of the drum.

Do this to both shoes, on both sides. I had this problem for a long time when I had my base model, and no one could ever give me an answer. Well that is the fix. Never heard it again after I did this.

Also, you might want to adjust your shoes, make sure they're not rubbing, or too loose. Your e-brake will work better.

Ah, that is a bummer. But trust me, 100%, that is the problem, and that is the fix. I promise.
