ss/sc exhaust manifold & downpipe

Just got done installing a ss/sc exhaust manifold and downpipe. It took 4.5 hours and alot of liquid wrench. I also tapped on the ends of the bolts with a hammer to loosen the rust. I bolted the ss/sc downpipe up to the stock 2.2 catback for now. within the next few weeks I should have a catback. I was thinkin about bringin in my car to get the manifold and downpipe put on professionally with a catback but I am much more satisfied I did it myself.

Yea it was a pain. If I had to do it again it would be alot easier knowing how to get at each bolt. It will be well worth it once i get a catback on.

You shouldn't feel any gain unless you replace your cat-back. I don't know about the L61 but on the LSJ the cat-back is the most restrictive part of the stock exhaust. If you replace anything before the cat-back you will not get any improvments.

On the flip side you now have a great start to a complete exhaust system.

Now I just need to get some quotes for a custom catback and get this exhaust finished up.
