ss short shifter in ls?
hey guys this is my first post, and i did search for a good 15 minutes for this answer and i couldnt seem to find it...is the cobalt ss short shifter replaceable with the stock shifter in the cobalt ls?

You want to put the SS shifter in your LS? No it probably will not fit or operate correctly.... you should check out this thread tho:

The short answer is no. Two different transmissions, so they're not really compatible. You could probably do some custom work to make it fit, but then you gotta ask yourself if it's worth it.
Look into TWM Performance. They're the only ones currently making a STS for the 2.2s. I think that's the better option because first of all it's guaranteed to work, and second of all the throws will be shorter than the SS/SC shifter.

Get a Cosmo Racing shifter for the last gen cavi, it fits, I have it & love it... The thread I posted is all about it there are dozens of ppl with it & I've yet to hear a complaint...
