stage 2 axle Q

Will the stg 2 axles from a 2.0 on dss work on an 07 2.2l auto?? thanx

I thought I remembered reading somewhere that they would NOT, but I'm not 100% sure on that. IIRC it was something about the axel lengths being slightly different? You definitely want to find out for sure before you buy them. If you want them NOW, just make sure with the vendor you're buying them from whether or not you can return them if they do not fit.

At least at TTR, they are listing the 2.2/2.4 axels as a different part.

Yeah, they make ones for the 2.2 & 2.4, but the 2.0 ss axles wont work. The reason for this is that the 2.2 &2.4 have 2 equal length axles only, whereas the 2.0L ss has a half shaft and 2 equal length axles.

2.2 and 2.4L automatic transmission axles are the same. Axles from a manual will not fit on an automatic.

so in other words... the thread that the above member posted to your 2.2/2.4 axels WONT work?

2.2 have axels mae for them already why try anduse a 2.0? 2.2 and 2.4 5spd use the same tranny, same for the autos

how sure r you of this?? i heard they were diff. and i cant find stg 2 axles for 2.2s newhere point me in the rite direction please

the axels are SOOOO not equal length as posted above...have you ever been under our car??? the passenger side is way longer and stretches
