Stock intake NOS-safe?

I have a 2009 cobalt ls xfe and am installing a 50 shot NX kit soon.
Will my stock intake manifold be safe to use with nos?
I know all combustion and pressure takes place in the head and cylinders but is there any risk of ruining my manifold?

Thanks,
the Blue Shadow Cobalt

yeah if you unwittingly dump fuel into your intake and then proceed to launch as though the system was proper wired. manifold goes boom. happened to a good friend of mine right before my eyes.

guys its a 50 shot, not a huge nitrous shot. the plastic mani will handle it fine. unless fuel puddles in the intake manifold you will be fine. always be sure to be at WOT and over at least 3,000rpm for the safest shot

im not sure about the newer LAP manifolds but are they more structurally sound than the 2.2 L61s?

Thanks guys for the fast responses,
I plan on going about this carefully and won't use it until I'm around 4000 rpm,
after I rebuild the bottom end, I plan on upping the nitrous to a 100 or 150 shot but that won't be for a while.
Whenever i do up the shot, I plan on upgrading my manifold to the 2.4 intake.

NOS= Nitrous Oxide Systems a brand name.
Please refrain from using it to describe all nitrous systems.

get one of thees and you should be fine

ok im done being a dick.

you should be fine , unless you get a nitrous backfire , but in that case no manifold is really safe. iv seen cast slp manifolds explode before.
To add more i ran a 75shot on my old escort zx2(plastic intake) for 2-3 years with no problems , i even had a solenoid stick open on me once. just make sure you run a window switch so it wont activate under 3-4krpm .

It has become a genericized trademark. How many of us don't refer to all facial tissue as "kleenex"? Do you call all bandages "band-aids"? I bet you call acetaminophen "tylenol".

.

Where can I get a tune done to my car and how much will it cost?
Will it improve my throttle response?

I refer to them as tissues or pain killer... bandages meh I usually just ask for something to stop the bleeding!

I have yet to see an NX kit spray nos.

Anyone have any pictures of an NX kit spraying nos?

Now a buddy had a 2 stage nx kit spraying nitrous. But he's never gotten it to be able to spray nos.
