Struggles to start when warm

So I've noticed that when I first go out in the morning for the day my car starts right up with no problem. But if I go somewhere and come back out when my engine is still warm it barely turns over some times. All the time it struggles to start when warm but sometimes worse than others. I just want to get this fixed so that I'm not stranded some day because my car won't start when its warm. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Note: My CEL comes on and off all the time and I got the code read one time and the guy told me that I needed a new thermostat. Could that be the problem? Or possibly even the coolant temp sensor?
