been a while since i was on here last but ive finally got the s/c in my vectra 2.2
well here it is all in :thumbup:



took it out for a little drive didnt go stupid ,but it has decided it doesnt like the belt


thats problem no 1 ,the next problem is because the charger sits so close to the power steering reservior its rubbing on it and is causing it to leak :swear:,so that needs addressing before i drive it anywhere.

i only took it for drive for about a mile but god does it sound awesome ,the power is unbelivable deffo big grin factor drool.gif

been in talks with the local vauxhall tuners ,and the s/c pulley is out by 2.5 mm so its took a bash at some point either in transit from the states or when it was removed from the car .
will be getting a 2.5 mm shim made up to put between the pulley and shaft ,that will line the belt run up

cheers mate its a weapon r manifold into a 2.5" custom made d/pipe with a miltek 200 cell sports cat ,so its a 4-2-1 .then into a magnex cat back system also 2.5"

 

hmm. damn it sounds pretty beastly. and that header looks sorta like the JBP's and they absolutely kill hp/tq on cobalts. lol

 

It sounds like a subaru as you drive away, tight squeeze but it looks good.

 

Yeah a damn tight squeeze. You may want to consider relocating the battery so ur pully has a lil room to breathe

 

cheers mate ,ive had several people comment thats it sounds like a scooby
that pic is quite decieving ,believe it or not there is a good 2-3" clearance between the pulley and the battery,originally the battery used to be the other side where the filter is now .the original battery was 3 times bigger than this one
