supercharger and automatic

Would you recommend supercharging an automatic?

I heard it was extremely expensive to change back to manual from auto, any thoughts?

I don't see why you can't do it.Do a little more research on google then here. You will get better results using google then someone who doesn't even drive a automatic supercharged vehicle.

if you can pull em off a junked car, next to nothing.

im sc'ing my 2.2 soon just working on getting a few little things, and then gonna get ls2 edit and start it.
was gonna turbo it at first but i changed my mind

I was going to turbo mine as well, but i prefer superchargers. I'm not trying to race it or anything, i just want something to do when i'm not working/school, and want something fun to cruise around in

anyone know any supercharger kits?

Just pick up a high stall torque converter and your trans should be fine unless you're looking to make BIG power.

IIRC the auto trans is rated to handle a little over 200 HP. If you put a turbo on your balt you'd run the risk of exceeding that 200 and blowing your trans; SCing it would probably be your best bet for maximizing its potential.

And yea, these balts are so light that 250+ HP makes them feel like a rocket on wheels. the 08/TCs make you glad the ass cushion is comfortable.

incorrect, our transmissions are rated to handle well over 250+

I have to admit, I thought I was going to see a flame war on here.

my friends has a grand prix gtp its an auto he has 600+hp started at 260hp and runs 10.6 in a 1/4 mile just engine mods no spray so as long as u mod ur trans properly it will be better then a manual for speed and racin

Trust me, 250 hp is NOT going to be too much for your transmission.

Get another torque converter and definitely get a transmission cooler.

A good transmission cooler is like $60, for real.
