supercharger mount question
supercharger mount question
how the hell or rather what the hell would i need to slap[ a eaton m90 supercharger on my 2.2 someone told me i need a supercharge mani an what else?
m90? what made you choose that instead of an m62? Either way it should bolt right up to your intake mani with 4 bolts, I think. At least the m62 does.
it would have to be custom no one has done it. the m62 on the other hand, has been swapped on to 2.2's all the time. threads all over
Im thinking m90 would be overkill on a 2.2. I suggest m62, since you already have some bolts ons, you would probably need to start working on internals. m62 or m90 with your bolt ons you would probably be close to if not over 250hp at the crank.
thanks i got a junk yard with bunches of eaton superchargers all types so yeah ill try lookin at threads thanks guys/girls
does the m62 bolt up to my 2.4 intake mani??

You will also need a bunch of other things to make it work. Your going to have to move your coolant I believe or else your intake wont fit and you will need injectors, a tune, pulleys, probably a new TB. Check out the zzp sc kit or find some of the 2.2 sc builds on the site.

Yes it will.

it needs to bolt to an LSJ intake manifold. However, that and the TVS are the only two SCs that have manifolds that will bolt right up to an ecotec block.
Theres a good amount of work involved, as well as numerious build threads and a couple how tos. Check the stickies in the 2.2 L61 section
There's a sticky up for this section that has how-to's and many many build threads. These build threads will help answer your "which parts work" and "what have other people done" questions:

@Hyper, read any good threads about bolting a TVS to a plastic mani lately?

well its a 20k signing bonus so i figure i will get around 15k all in all but around 7 when i get back i guess i am just shootin from the hip on that im not even sure i will get the lump or just extra pay but ill already make around 2k- $2500 a month so either or lol i aint complainin lol
when i finally got my bonus which the first payment was 7500 i think it ended up being 5200 after taxes. i dont know what branch youre in but in the AF unless you are married you are required to live in the dorms until you are an e4 so you only make around 1600-1700 take home but thats AF so other branches may be different
well DE ANG told me loadmasters on c-130's get pay plus hazard pay with the 20k signing i dunno how much truth there is to that plus i cant live on base in New Castle becuase they dont have living quarters on base lol
i dunno give me ur opinion i think its fing BS to be honest you may know because AF and ANG should get paid around the same as long as ur active ANG

hmmm...m90 cobalt...better yet, a genV m90 cobalt...hmmm...its a 1.5l blower...but idk what the fastest you can spin it is...would be cool...would need a customer manifold...or have the LSJ one modified to work with a m90 flange, long as everything lined up with the pulleys and made some sort of TB adapter, it could work...but im probbaly over thinking this for the simple folks...but in theory...cut the m62 portion of the lsj mani off, weld on a m90 flange someone, make sure its welded so the blower lines up correctly for the pulleys, make a TB adapter...ahhh the possibilities
i tried to find a grand prix but gave up, all the post i saw wanted to much, so i bought a 03 cavy ls sport instead
