I did a compression test today. Cold, without remembering to press the accelerator at all like a *******, with 4 revolutions I managed just under 145 per cylinder except #2, which was like 137psi? I want to redo it and effing remember to depress the accelerator though...
Anyway, I began work on porting my blower today. Opened up the neck of it a bit, and gave it some more throat where the rotors meet the neck. Got rid of this annoying ridge:

And if I'm going to have my tools out I may as well port-match the manifold too.

May consider polishing the outside of the case once I'm done porting.

I've been considering a flex hone in a very rough grit (under 120) for this to keep the porting even to reduce the risk of taking more material off on one part and changing the shape of the inlet, just not sure how much material it would wind up removing. Obviously wouldnt work on changing the port size for the LS4 throttle body much that would have to be done before hand.

Flex hone is a good idea but often when porting you don't need an even amount in all areas taken out. You need more here and less there, especially with port matching on these cars.

Finished most of my porting today. Now the manifold just needs a good cleaning and some new laminova seals. And a dual pass made for it. Hopefully will be doing that soon. I booked a hotel for a couple days during my little brother's spring break so we can see each other for the first time in almost a year. Soooo, car funds will be slowed down a little bit. Honestly I'd spend $315 to make my brother feel cared about instead of blowing it on my car any day so it doesn't bother me. I'll just do the free/cheap stuff for now. Getting a phenolic spacer and IC pump/brackets will give me stuff to do anyway. I may as well mock it all up.
