Please don't flame me I have a question I need answering and Supertech are closed for 2 days. I have searched and I need an answer ASAP. Being in the England hasn't helped.

I have some 78 dual springs with retainers and seats. I got an local company to fit some new valves and the supertech springs on the Z22se (LSJ) head, when he came to fit the valve seats, he wasn't certain if they should go at the bottom of the inner valve with the flat side up therefore resting on the rim in an inverted U shape

or are they put under the retainers with the inner spring just sitting on the head as the outer spring does.
