Sw4y's built 2.2 is still alive!

Hey guys, I was bored so I figured I would post a little bit about my motor.

Yes, im still around, just busy with other car work. Currently I am at 700miles on the new motor. A compression test showed (1)150, (2)145, (3)150, (4)145. I have since switched to Synthetic oil at 630miles. I am getting a brand new HAHN Super 20G turbo from a guy locally who never used it for $450 and working with Vince to get a tune done(which might be featured on my new online tv show). I'll only be running about 15psi through it for now, which should yield around 330whp.

Hehe, Thanks Dan. I couldn't have done it without you! I actually had a bit of a scare after I changed to synthetic yesterday. I about **** my pants when she started sounding like a subi.. Found out it was a loose wire on the injector harness somehow and was causing Cyl 3 to misfire.

I will. As soon as vince gets back to me on when he wants to do the tune and recording I'll let all you guys know whats going on. We are going to be doing a lot of Cobalt stuff. Basically full detailed video how-to's on things like the 2.4 IM swap, Turbo stuff, engine drops, tranny drops, and whatever else you guys can come up with to make it easier for the community to do their own work.

The fuse box was broken somehow. They said it looked like someone stuck a flathead down inside the Ignition A socket and somehow it wasnt supplying the car with enough power so it wouldn't spark. Replaced the fusebox and she fired right up.

Got a link to your tv show? Sounds cool? Does vince feel pretty confident he can tune the car for the numbers you are hoping for? I mean i know he knows what he's doing, just wondering if he thinks it's possible with the 05-06 ecu... Just have not seen to many higher numbers 2.2L's

Sw4y, Glad to see the balt is still kickin buddy! I still remember riding in your car right after you got the turbo put in. I was the guy you met up with in SLC on your way home. It was awesome losing traction at 60 in 3rd gear!

Right now our first 4 episodes are for Hondas. We are filming our 3rd one right now which is a B series swap on a 89 Hatch. Our next episode is a wiring conversion harness from Rywire.com for my 91 Crx SI to go from obd0 to obd1. Rywire has also requested us to do more install videos for them as well. Once these first 4 are done we are moving into some Cobalt stuff.

Check it out if you like. Its my first time on camera on the first episode so I'm a tad shy. www.importnightstv.com

**Disclamer: We are not trying to sell or make a profit off of anything. We are here to show the automobile/sport compact community how things are done properly.

I believe vince should be able to pull off 320+whp. He is a great tuner and I want to show the community that his method of tuning can produce great numbers on non-stock cars. I believe that if the community see's what it can do to cars built like mine, they will have more faith in his business. Thats why I'd like to get him featured on my show.

New update:

I just hit 1000 miles and she has taken a bunch of WOT pulls through 2nd and 3rd without any failures. Ordering 60lb'ers this week and tweaking charge piping to fit a 3" pipe for the MAF and she'll be making about 275-300whp. Once thats done ill throw a bigger turbo on and go for 400whp. I just need to find a decent turbo that I can afford right now on unemployment
