ok so i found where to read it but its reads it in half so like 3000 is 1500 any help here please my goal is just a afc neo and a lm-c wide ban so i can data log and see if theres any tuning and how much with just these 2 if there just a little or a lot we will know how much.

if your device has a cylinder setting it needs to be set to 2 cyl to read correctly

ok it doesent mater if its 2 cyl or if it set to 4 cyl. it will only read the rpm,s if i blip the gas if i just hold it i have no rpms showing but if i blip the gas right before i let off it will read but just a sec. and the rpms are right with the factory tach in the dash. any ideas here would be ok. im going to try to tune the car for just a exhaust system and a cai.

wat? if you tap into the tan wire on the ICM plug and set it to 2 cyl mode it will read correctly. I have done this on both my raptor shift light and my zex window switch and they both read perfect.

like i said this is a 2.2 cobalt not a ion but the wire i needed to use is brown with a white stripe not tan like ion's use. it works now i had to set the afc neo to a 1 cylinder engine to get a true rpm match other wise it would only see half the rpms. 3000- looks like 1500 if its set to 2,4,6,8 cylinders. now its working but im not changing any settings in till the wide ban is hooked up. thats tonights project. so far it run constant a/f of 86.2-86.6 no mater what rpm and the type of load thats on the engine. right now im data loging my stock info. ow yea thanks for the help ionninja.

it shouldn't matter whether its an Ion or Cobalt, its the same thing (unless something was changed in 06 but I don't know about that)

lil_kano was able to get his setup exactly like mine
