Alright so I got a 2.4L TB and installed it today. But my problem is after a short road test the car went into limp mod and I towed it home. My car is a 05 cobalt. I have a 2.4L Intake Manafold and a TB spacer. I am not sure what year TB it is. I just pluged it in and went after install because the pin count was the same on both TB. Well after limp mod I wired in the connector that came with the TB to see if that would help. Just finished and I am going to road test now. The only difference between the two conectors is one said 2B and the other 3B. You guys have any ideas on why it went into limp mod

 

did you tune for the TB? if not then theres your problem......

 

Alright so switching out the connector did not help. It will let me drive her for a little while then it will just go limp and say eng. red. pwer. What if I remove the TB spacer. When I start her up her idle sits at 1500rpms alll the time. Its cold here in WNY but not that cold to keep it there when the motor temp is 183. Anyone with any ideas?

 

I guess I did not do my homework. Didn't know I have to tune after. I guess my tune is going to have to happen now. And my wife was going to make me wait till after spring.

 

Yea. You can run the 2.4Manifold with a 2.2TB and a gasket. But as soon as you put the 2.4TB on you have to tune for it.
