Thinking of picking up a 2.2

I'm thinking of retiring my SRT-4 from daily driving, the mileage is real low and i want to keep it in great shape.

I owned a 2.2 Pursuit before, it was a good point a to b car. I'm thinking of picking up a 2.2 base, no air, no pwr options etc. Throw some springs on it and gmpp exhaust and manifold.

comments/suggestions?

if it's gonna be your dd keep with the air as i do believe it's standard anyway. the springs would be a good first and just pick up an ss/sc exhaust system unless you really would rather the borla/gmpp. the 07-08 cobalts come with the lsj manifold which is less restrictive then the 05-06 manifolds. so depending on year you may not need to swap manis.

It would be an '08, i'd add the $900 for GMPP Exhaust + Extrune Manifold.

Air is not needed, I would drive me SRT in the summer and park the Cobalt. I kind of worded my intial post wrong, ideally i only want to drive my SRT from may-oct, and drive the Cobalt during the winter.

oh, well that doesn't sound like a bad plan at all. i'd say if anything buy winter tires cause the stockers suck as in snow.

Possibly, If you have Secondary Air Injection I believe the exhaust manifold is a little different...
