Tired of my solid engine mount

I have a 2.2 supercharged and a ttr solid upper engine mount. The vibes and noise from this mount are starting to drive me crazy, I just want to have a comfortable ride. If I switch back to stock am I going to destroy the mount? Will it harm my flex pipe on my zzp down pipe? I remember there being a warning on the site that recommended a solid mount . And also what about wheel hop? I currently have none and don't wanna deal with any

Why don't you just go Polly. Not solid, but stiffer than OEM rubber.

It is, sorry if I used the wrong name. Lemme tell you it feels like my mount is a solid piece of metal. The noise when I start moving is terrible, sounds like I have a rod ready to shoot out of the block. Goes away once the Rpms increase though

Well you're in Ohio, so if you wanna swap just to see and feel the difference, I have no problem helping out. It would be fun. I wanna know how mine runs with a TTR mount anyway.

Mine only feels reaaally bad when the car wants to die down and revs itself. Feels so ugly -_- Haven't been able to log or even finish my tune since I went e lol only a few revisions. Besides that its all just normal vibrations. But I don't think its from the engine mount...Most of my vibrations came when I installed the race inserts for tranny mounts. Those were bad. I didn't feel a different with the solid mount but it might've been cuz I already had the inserts in before that

that's what I was thinking when I installed race inserts. Those made my car feel like its going to fall apart in the middle of the road. It calmed a little but its still bad when the car revs itself. Maybe it was installed wrong?

I doubt it, inserts like that usually roughen up the ride quite a bit. I wish there was rotated mounts for the automatics, they seem like the best option

when you installed them did you let the engine settle back in place? also, do you have trans mounts as well? its usually helps to do all three poly mounts. i only had trans mounts at first then got my TTR engine mount and the vibes actually seemed to go down a little bit.

No trans mounts for me, I'm afraid of the vibes. I've had the mount for over 2 years so it's completely broken in too

i would try trans mounts bud, because think about it, one side is completely held in place, while you have the stock trans mounts still moving around. it may not sound like it makes sense but i feel like its less vibes with all three. if you go back to stock you will def have wheel hop though. no bueno! lol.

I actually got way worse vibrations when I installed the trans inserts. My car still vibrates a lot and makes my glovebox make noise like crazy. My girl has to press on it so it wont make noise when im stopped. Don't even get me started on when the ac is on lmao so much worse

ac? aint nobody got time for that. but yea with the AC on at idle it will get bad sometimes. but i seriously had less vibes with all three lol. maybe just balanced it better? if that makes sense, i have no idea. lol. but mine is not annoying except when pulling off from a stop and that goes away around 2k so no biggie i daily mine and dont mind it.

This.... One rigid and the other half still flopping causes the extra tranny movement to have increased vibs coming from the motor mount.

mkulrey stated this too.

Aaron why isn't there actual tranny mounts for the auto? It was explained to me before but I forgot what the reason was lol. And is there a way to install your trans inserts wrong? Mine felt like a ridiculous amount of shaking since I installed them
