Is this as far as this kit goes on stock internals??? guess some folks will also be needing a clutch at the same time

TNT has not (TMK) but the creator, Alpine Developments[link], has. Reps from SpeedMafia[link] were also present throughout the process and have experience w/ the kit.

tuning is done via the Perfect Power SMT6[link] connected to a laptop. The original fit on the 2.2 cobalt, IIRC from my convos w/ reps at the companies, took ~4hrs on the dyno to custom tune. however, it is my understanding that alpine will ship this unit for tuned @ 8psi for your altitude, which i'm guessing you'd need to (or want to) specify when ordering else they'd probably key it off your zip code.

This is the kit that sw4y has on his ride and was talking about after he got it done.

Correct, We ordered some, and will be putting them on my fiance's vehicle to give you all our "Review" of it.

And yes. Price is $3500 USD + $100 shipping due to weight.

UPDATE / ALERT: the turbos included in this kit are currently on backorder from Bog Warner. expect a bit of a delay (won't get to the kit manufacturer until Tuesday / Wednesday) if you order now.

ehhh, don't be so sure yet. depending on the turbo it could spool pretty damn fast, and make some mean torque depending on the setup. won't smoke an ss/sc, but could be a bit faster. wait to see some dyno's.

the 212 is whp which is more than a stock ss s/c so it could be a nice little race.

AHA!

"Dyno Proven 212 Wheel Horsepower and 224 Wheel Torque"

224 wtq > stock ss/sc and the hp is about the same.

its not going to be the HP that wins the race for the LS it'll be the TQ. too many LSJ guys are caught up on HP. 224wtq vs 180-190wtq from an SS/SC...thats a big diff.

Stock SS/SC's will be no problem...its the stage 2 + bolt ons & up SS/SC's that you'll have to worry about.

The power adder aint the issue at that point though its the bottom end.

Turbo's are easily capable of getting the power you want. Upgraded engine internals, boost controller, and turn it up...if needed, throw on a bigger turbo, change the injectors and such.
