i have no 2nd gear. when i shift into 2nd it goes in but as sonn as i rease the cluth it pops out of gear. i though it was the transmission. but gm says it the clutch. if its the clutch what part would cause it to do that?

if it's the clutch, i don't think it would only do it in 2nd gear. I'm no expert with transmissions, but it could possibly be a syncro.

thats what i though it was a syncro. but they said it had nothing to do with the trany.

i don't know, but the clutch doesn't engage individual gears, the shitfer does, the clutch just passes the power from the motor to the trans.

same here. try another dealership, the service writer sounds like a tard.

I had the same problem with mine at about 27000 miles and the dealer had to replace the transmission.
