Transmission race mounts

I notice on turbo tech racing they have transmission race mounts for auto and manual. What are the advantage and disavantage of putting on transmission race mounts?

Firms up drivetrain, does not allow engine to flop around.

Side effect - Vibrations, but they go away after you put on a few miles.

^^ I have to agree. Vibrations are a little much right after you first install them but like Aaron said after you put on a few miles they really do go away quite a bit. I got the same kind from TTR and I can honestly say once you break them in, your car will feel more "solid" especially when it comes to putting power to the ground.

compensate for what? The auto should barely have any wheels hop to begin with.

Then why would they even make tranny mounts for autos then?Obviously for some reason its not only for manual drivers.

they make them to eliminate any wheel hoping and to stiffen up the transmission. the b&m shift plus makes the tranny shift harder and the tranny cooler keeps the tranny front gettin too hot. they dont control the tranny rockin around, thats wat the mounts do. keeps it from movin around

They make them because people asked them to make them. Like i said, you shouldn't be getting much wheel hop with an auto trans anyways.

I have gotten wheel hop before, just have to have ideal conditions. It only happened once but is possible. I don't have the crappy standard tires, but nor do I have great tires either.

Exactly, plus on the TTR brand ones, we include a COLOR instruction manual.

Any questions, just let us know.

I think I'm going to be ordering these soon.

can you use them with the Turbo Tech Racing STOP Transmission Mounts as well or do those replace the bushings?

This thread is about the 2.2/2.4L trans bushings

The STOP mounts fit the F35 trannys (2.0L engine), they already have poly in them, so there is no need for inserts if you have those.
