Trifecta tuning question.

*******need help*******
im about to order the trifecta tune that was just recently released for the l61 motor.
Current mod list is
obx-r longtube header
k&n typhoon short ram intake
full cat back exhaust.
Under drive crank pulley
2.4 intake manifold and after tune will add the 2.4 throttle body

the question i have is with the trifecta tune what are there cababilities. Can they remove the top speed govener, shift rpm, compensate from 15 inch tires and wheels to 17's
i added new wheels bigger and seems like the car has more torque but slowed down alot in first and second.
Im waiting n them to contact me for payment so a quick response would be awsome.

Yes vince can alter all that.... well I know for sure everything but the rim issue. Didn't have that done. But yes to top speed, he can raise your redline. And I think can change your shifts idk that also cuz I have a manual

Not sure if you would want to raise your redline very much, unless you have upgraded valve springs.

Is your redline/shiftpoint at 7500? I highly doubt it. If maybe put it to 7k that might be alright but anything else is just pushing it and I bet something will break not long after.

Actually a tune for the L61 from trifecta has been available for a while now. Many L61's have been trifecta tuned. I just recently had my L61 tuned from trifecta and I am very pleased with the results and the great customer service with them.

Oh that huckernage! you forgot to add you have stage 2 cams with your 7500 redline.

unless you are using cams are cars powerband dies off before 6.5k, no reason to have your redline any higher.

http://www.crateenginedepot.com/stor...?Webpage_ID=67

use those dyno's for your own judgement. that's even with the 2.4 im before and after.

So don't listen to huckernage haha :P

vince can tune everything you want and the reason it slowed down alot in first and second is becasue of the 2.4 mani, which the tune will fix if you have any questions you can pm my i will be happy to answer them

did my dyno show nothin! huckernage your special ok! for 80% of the 2.2 on here they won't have any reason to go over 6500, even when you shift your still in your powerband.

i will agree that going a little higher will net you an extra tenth of a second, but you also took off a day of the car's life

of course this is just the 80% of 2.2er's, of course there will be exceptions.

7K would be the MAX I would have it set at. You have no cam and stock valve-train.

You're not making any power past 7K. Actually, like aforementioned earlier, your power is probably dropping around 6.8K.

Damn man that 2.2 auto held in there really good. So you raised the rev limiter to how much? It looked like it was like about 7 grand. What was all the stuff you did to it. Only reason i'm askng is because in about a month i'm gunna order the trifecta tune for my g5 gt auto.

7200 rpm tranny setpoint and 7250 rpm motor. they come in conflict when same setpoint.
TFT put tranny as firm as he can do.

you have to reflash your car twice PCM and TCM
tcm takes 45 secondes
pcm takes 13 minutes

CAI, intake 2.4, SC dowpipe, SC catback, stock exhaust manifold

youll notice a nice difference with the TB on there after the tune.

I will be Trifecta tuned within the next couple of weeks.

2007 Cobalt LS Coupe
- Automatic Transmission
- Injen Short Ram Intake
- 2.25 in. MagnaFlow Exhaust
- ZZP Mid Length Header
- 2.5 in. ZZP Stainless Downpipe
- 2.4l Intake Manifold
- Ported and Polished 2.2l Throttle Body
- Tenzo-R Lowering Springs
- Bridgestone POTENZA Tires

The Balt can move. I would used a 2.4l tb but haven't come across one with 6 pins. My ported and polished 2.2l tb will do just fine. I felt a nice gain after installation.

What are some of you guys predictions/recommendations on how my car with its current mods will respond with an aggressive Trifecta tune? Thanks!
