I think a lot of us 2.2L owners wanna ....spend 12k on the car...spend 10k of equipment...get it tuned and whip a SRT4 like its our business...which it will be!!!

Well...for me...a stock STI...want to dominate one from a stop! maybe with ....350whp i could.

SRT4 can prob be beating with 10psi...maybe 8 with 3.5inch exhaust

Not really. With the right setup you can run 12's on a 100 shot with a stock motor. I should know. I've done it.

Well not exactly. I've done this in my 2.2 cavy. I realize that cavy's are lighter but its still the same motor. So with alittle bit of suspension tuning i'm hoping to get my cobalt to run with it.

What type of pics are you looking for? I've got a few uploaded in the member gallery here:

Some of those are pre-mod, just so you know. If you want some other pics, let me know and I'll see what I can do for ya.

my cavy

ok... you guys are saying you can induct by either supercharger or turbo 8psi into a stock 2.2L with out any special pistons or rods? im currently looking for preferably a supercharger kit (seems easier) for my 2.2l 05 cavy. If i get the kit a)what size exhaust shoud i run to avoid too much back pressure b)i have the base model w/P195/75r14 and stock suspension... what should i go to to get optimal torque to the ground and c)any other mods i should do?

thanks guys

8 psi for stock is fine for most any car

Most engines will take

4 Psi on stock injectors
7 Psi on stock rods
10 Psi with Injectors and FMIC

But the way you should do it is

FMIC for any boost
Injectors for anything above 6 psi
Pistons and Rods for anything over 10

(That'd be with a T3 Super 60)

7 psi on a super 60 only gives about 200 whp. stock rods are fine. 10 psi gives like 230whp. That's on the borderline but you could do it.
