Im looking for more things i can do to the engine.... I really enjoy street racing and I cant really afford to fill a bottle up every other week. Not to mention the automatic transmission will most likely get riped to shreds

lsj header and catback or the 2.4 tb. both of those will give u a wider powerband as well as a lot more in the top end.

75 shot is still the best though, lol

well if you just want something cheap then i would say just the tune. if you got some money and you want power all the time. I would suggest cams/ head work and a good tune.

actually the automatic tranny is really stout. and you cant beat the power per dollar of nitrous. hide the system and run a 75 shot. everyone will be flipping out that a basically stock 2.2 is moving like that

Nitrous. Read actual intelligent info on nitrous, and learn. Dont watch youtube vids of retarded kids using it.

And fill up the bottle every other week? I went 9 months on 1 bottle.

^^^yea thats not a bad deal, but u wouldnt get much out of a 15-35 shot. u would be better off with a 50-75, cuz with ur bolt ons that might put u close to 190-200 horse, which is almost a stock ss/sc (they dyno 210-220). our engines are rated to handle a 75 shot, but after that ur pushing it.

without power adders, a more aggressive camshaft is the only way - outside of the bolt ons - exhaust, intake, tune

So you recommend the 2.4 throttle body?

I was looking to purchase the 2.4 intake manifold from the link above as well. Instead of going with the spacer I was just going to go ahead and get the 2.4 TB. what do ya'll recommend?

yes, 100%. it will give u better low end torque and high end hp especially after 4500 rpm. that or the lsj header are great bolt ons for our car, especially if u get tuned recently afterwards.

I have heard from a few people's posts here that if you do the 2.4 manifold, it works without tuning albeit not optimal without tuning. But, using the 2.4 throttle body makes the car go into limp mode. It does not run right and you need tuning.

But, one guy here accidentally broke his MAF and replaced it with the JET performance MAF. He had tried the 2.4 tb before that MAF swap, and it made the car run like crap. he took the 2.4tb off and put the 2.2tb back on. But, when he swapped the MAF from JET onto his intake, for grins he tried the 2.4tb again. With the JET performance MAF, the car ran perfectly.

Supposedly, the MAF is just more accurate in metering than the stock MAF. As for it freeing up flow from being a lower profile, I cannot comment. Many people say nothing but good things about this upgrade. For $130, it seems like it is worth a try, especially for the guys with 2.4 manifolds wanting to use the TB also.

Its cool honest mistake but last thing I wanna read is a installed my 2.4tb and now my car wont run thread

As far as the Jet MAF working I have personally tried it and it does not work but I also have a loose wire running into the MAF pigtail connetor so I m tying to find a new connector and give it another try and see what happens.....

what would be better for the 2.2's, the 2.4 intake mani or the 2.2 HO from crateenginedepot? seems like the 2.4 properlly tunned would still be better? and if u run the 2.4 mani do u have to run the tb? thanks

ok thats kinda confusing for them to put it as a 2.2l on crateenginedepot, honest mistake

if u have the 2.4 mani, no u do not NEED the throttle body. however, its highly recommended to get the full power out of it.

not if you get the jet maf, but at the price of the maf, you might as well get a tune, you'll gain more power for the same price
