tuners? i wanna 2.2"sleeper"
after some reading i didnt see any luck on this subject. but is there any tuners that can improve my lil 2.2... my plan is to make my 2.2 a "sleeper"..anything i can do to make my car look like a plain ol' 2.2 but run like a beast. What are my optioins?
what year car? what are you willing to pay? go fast=money. you have to pay to play and as of a tune for our cars, unless you have an 05-06 there is nothing and the tune for them comes with the garrett and hahn turbo kit(both the same kit). and if you want to go N/A then waiting is what you'll be doin cause there is a couple of companies that are workin on it but they are not out yet. what you can do now is bolt ons that will work with the tuning software when it somes out. such as Intake, header, downpipe and catback, suspension upgrades, STS(if you have a manual), 2.4 manifold swap, weight reduction, and the list goes on and on but just decide what you want to do and go for it!
Keep the stock rims, get better tires, get suspension mods, get a somewhat quiet exhaust, and either spray a 75 shot or like stated above go with the alpha turbo kit.
i know my way around a car, im actually building a mustang too.... but this is my first 4 cyl chevy i was lookin to try out.... welllll its an 06 sedan. i was lookin to make it a sleeper and jsut blow peoples doors off. ive heard that these are impossible to tune right now. so all i thaught was to spray, maybe a 50 shot to stay safe? i also did some reading on the new 08' turbo coming soon, so maybe ill wait for that. Either way i just want a quick car that people wont expect
build your motor and run alot of nitrous. That's really the best way I can see to be a good sleeper. Rods, pistons, metal shimmed headgasket, arp studs, strong valve springs and retainers, metal intake manifold, and possibly port/change the exhaust and it won't sound really built untill you hit that 150 shot
Turbo's are too obvious to pull off a sleeper effect IMO

cheapest is about 1900... hows a 50 shot of n20 work on our cars? im really contemplating trading in for the new 260hp(i think) turbo balt this spring....mmmmm sounds nice.. haha
yeah i a gree

50 shot should work pretty well. I wouldn't go any higher than 75 though on the stock internals. Might be a good idea to get yourself a backup intake manifold as well in case you get a nitrous backfire.
stock lookin except suspension which gets the power to the wheels and all perf. on the motor
