it doesnt matter how many were sold but how many want to tune it most cobalts ended up as rentals ori see alot of old people driving them unfotunatly with 2 performance models above us most of the tuning types bought those not hte 2.2

i agree. its taking them a long time yes, but look at it from there prospective. The have 3 models to tune and the 2.2 isn't exactly an SS lol so their going to tackle the ones that will generate more income first then move on. They'll Tune us soon guys, just keep drivin hard and make sure the engine is worked in real good for when it does lol

yall should be thankful some company is even bothering trying to get a tuner together for the 2.2L. there's no guarentee that ANY aftermarket will come out for a car. it's not like there's a rule that states Z company must make a tuner for Y car in X ammount of months. crying about it won't speed up the process.

not to rain on anyones parade...yes we all want the tuning to be done but at the same time how many of us are going to put a turbo on our car right off the bat bc of the amount of money its going to cost??also wouldnt this void warranty on the car?? and if we do have the money for the turbo maybe you would of been better off just starting out with an ss/sc...dont get me wrong I want the tuning to be available too bc I have a 2.2 and would love to do engine work but...in the future... but it will be a good while before a turbo goes onto my car especially if it voids warranty and for the money its going to cost....know what I mean lol

my gf actually drives a cobalt. i was planning on buying her that blower kit from GM. obviously i have to wait for tuning to become available. it's not like she NEEDS it or anything. so i'll just sit back and wait.

I just wanted to qoute this. Me specifically. Those that know me, know why.

Anyway, the Tune Time Performance work on the E16 ECM seems to be quite limited. They are advertising a single flash program designed to work with your stock engine. I have emailed them asking about a forced induction application and have not recieved any reply.

i plan keeping this car til it breaks down b/c i freaking LOVE these cars. i almost have an orgasm every time i see the rear end of my car. (now debadged so looks better)

so if they dont come out with tuning, yeah i'm gonna be pissed, because i will be limited to what i can do...but i dont plan on running 13 second 1/4 miles..yeah i like tuning but fast to me would be running like 9.5 in the 1/8 mile, thats my goal. this car is faster than any car i've owned(92 dodge stealth es - 222 hp...still not as fast, 05 cobalt ls ATX,93 honda civic ex, ford focus zx3)

I did my part with the SAFC-II. Be awhile until I am the first for something again.

And I've been busy.

You don't understand. Several race cars have already built engines with stand alone systems that work great. The problem is they are not street friendly. Yes, a stand alone can successfully run the engine on a street car. However, our ECM our tightly integrated with other vehicle systems besides just fuel and ingnition. If you by-pass the ECM for a stand alone, the power steering, cruise control, and instrument panel become inoperative. And if you have an automatic, your trans stops working too.

I lost a total of 15. I got around 40...I/E went to 35...H it jumped to 25. Untuned sucks!

All the same driving. But I'm finally above 30 shifting early and not going above 55.
