Thats my thinking I emailed hptuners last week and they said that they dont know when there going to crack it. So if another company gets into the mix then hptuners will hurry up and crackit.
Lets start making a list of other tuning companies and heres a thought lets make a list of all the people who will buy tuning from hptuners if it comes out, and ill send it in to them might get a fire under there but's.
Not to burst any bubbles but there was a thread awhile back, probly before most of you were members were Bill from HPTuners posted about this.
HPTuners is releasing a 2007 Cobalt tune platform, we raised questions about why not the 05-06 2.2's and he said this. They only have one person that cracks the computers and he's been working extremely hard. The PCM for the 05-06's were only used in the Cobalt and only for 2 years. So Cracking it isn't as easy as most might think.
We then raised a question as to when we can see support. He said late Spring at the latest.
Emailing a Company asking about an upcoming product or w/e won't truely help. They're hard at work and have given us the attention to even try to crack our computers. (be happy with that)
And think about this, some of the vehicles that are out (and supported by HPTuners) had to wait 7 years or more for tuning. Its truley not as simple as getting a PCM and "cracking the code", there a lot more in it.
JUST BE PATIENT
Edit: Tune Time Performance was supposed to "tune" a 2.2 sometime back, never heard back from the member or company. Possibly a few good reasons for that.

I think the delay has been good for those at this site who had no idea about how to prep their engines for turbos. Many of us who are waiting for releases just wanted a tuning solution so that we could buy a turbocharger and beat everyone on the streets. This delay has given us time to think about what else needs to be done to our cars so we don't blow up our cars. Had they released their tuning solution a year ago, how many Cobalt drivers would be complaining about weak engine internals and blowing up their ECOTECs?
When it comes out, it will have been worth the wait. If anyone from HPTuners is reading our site, I hope they see how eager we are to invest in it. I also hope they see how patient we've been to see our car supported.
