if you read the 2.2 turbo build's, or do a serch you will find this info out
and read the post right below yours and you will see that HP Tuners is coming out with one this year.
other then HP Tuners you have the choice between terifica Tunning, and LS2Edit

LS2Edit if you can find a shop and HPTuners when it comes out. Trifecta is a tune that you order off the internet and just load it on your car.. not ideal for people needing to frequently tweek their tune because you cant just go ahead and do it, you must order yet another update tune.
trifecta does just fine for frequent retunes, you get a cable, or if you're by your dealer, you don't need one, and when it comes time for a retune, we just tweak it. you only need to re order the tune if you drastically change the car, like going from NA to turbo.
wait, so you get a cable, does this allow you to log like hpt and send the results in a file to whomever needs to do the adjustments and then have them send back and hook up to the car and reflash it yourself, or will you have to have the whole kit sent out to you again to do that?
FYI to the New Members here... HPT has been "working" on the 2.2 ECU since '06...i'm pretty sure theyre not even gonna attempt to work on 05-06 ECUs, and might ONE DAY crack the '07+ ECU

yes, you log, just like HP tuners, send it to vince via E-mail, you flash it, log it, e mail the log, ect... If you buy the cable or go through a dealer, there is no sending of kits, of you "rent" his tuner, you need to send it back and forth and keep "renting" it to tune and log. and trifecta supports ALL year cobalts
just hooks up to the obd2?
edit, cable is 250 got that.
so for 250 i could send my tune back and forth after a base can tune and get it perfected for free?
I saw a rep from HPT post on the L61 thread over there not too long ago stating that they were in development for the E37 for the Cobalt 07+. Should be coming out later this year, it will come with other releases of that ecm that are on other GM cars. That's a lot more promising than what they always said before, which was, "check back later".
the cable is $250 without a tune, $200 with a tune, but the tune still costs you. it hooks up to OBD2 on the car and USB on the computer, a dealer offer you a cheaper route, as they have the cable and the computer. you or the dealer get your stock tune for safe keeping, you datalog, once you have a new tune, retunes are free, unless you go forced induction or something else drastic.

And after that I'd be able to make mods like exhaust blah blah and get retuned etc?
Closest dealer is pittsburgh and that's like 3 or 4 hours so contemplating being a dealer here down here.
I assume that's how most dealers make the money back on the cable etc etc by charging a lil extra to flash and stuff?
tunes aren't free, not even for dealers, so it would be impossible. you pay $465 shipped for the cable and tune, retunes are free when you change small things like exhaust, intake, ect... correct, dealers make back their money by charging higher than the dealer price for tunes.
