You trollin no_ss? I'm sure with some time, patience and more money then you wanna spend you can make it work but there are serious factors involved. The piping is not gonna line up so you're losing money there best to look into LNF piping. Things like the intercooler can always be fab'd to work but it makes more sense to get an LNF intercooler and pipe kit. You will need a turbo manifold designed for the cobalt and the likely hood of the SRT turbos inlet/outlet angles lining up are slim. The issue of the turbo fitting properly is gonna play a huge role in piping fitment as well. Don't forget about the oil feed and return setup on the SRT turbo, this alone can make a custom setup a nightmare. In the end you're better off with an LNF swap or a custom kit like ZZP. Not to mention the stock Neon SRT turbos were intergrated into the exhaust manifold and that setup just wont fit the cobalt, period, so I am assuming you are looking at an aftermarket SRT kit. Good luck with this if you're still willing to go through with the build. Could be fun if you don't mind the stress involved.

LNF turbos are dirt cheap on here and ZZP has em for a great price too. Just make sure you get one in working order that hasn't been beat to ****. I would suggest avoiding the ones that have been overboosted prior to removal. I have noticed those turbos tend to give out a lot quicker then the milded booted stockers. If the previous owner pushed 26psi through it I wouldn't want it.

No OP, it wont fit.
You would waste a ton of money making it fit, also the td04 on the SRT4 is tiny. You would be better off buying a Supercharger kit, or building a k04 turbo. Theres a how to on here for 2.2

it said on zzp that they don't recommend putting over 5psi on the stock 2.2 so im not gonna put that kind of stress on the stock engine but if I'm replacing the rods and Pistons I could run close to 10 hopefully. Idk. I can only hope. Not looking to be the fastest. I just want to have a decently fast car, I like the way the cobalt drives as well so it would be a plus to have it turbo'd.

Theres a difference in flow. I would agree you do not want to run more boost than 5 with a s252 or s256.

I raced a civic the other day said he had a 60 trim at 6 lbs I told him that I had a much smaller turbo running 14psi he said I should win. I did but it was hilarious to watch I would get out in front hear his **** start to boost see him pulling for like 2 seconds he would shift then fall back 40-110 had 3 cars
Op its more about the tune and the size of the turbo there have been people on hear with over 300hp reliably and just recently a guy put down closer to 350 your tuner is probably the most important part
