turbo

he guys i was woundering if anyone new where i could buy just the charge pipes for a 2.2 cobalt sedan i have the turbo manifold and just need the piping .................thanks dave

sounds like you need to go custom. take it to a shop.

They would have to be custom done or you have to buy a full out kit.

i dont know if it would do any good, but talk to a vender that works with alpine or hahn, maybe they can work out a deal to sell just the charge pipes?? dont know if that will help or not.

Even still

It depends on the turbocharger that he uses and the placement of the turbocharger on the manifold (whether it's to the passenger side, center or driver side).

Talk to dave with alpine in denver. I bet he would sell you the piping. The best thing would be to purchase the piping, then bring it to an exhaust shop to have them bend the charge piping to the turbo. The way they run their charge piping you could easily have it modified for almost any turbo sitting back there. Dave would give you a good price too. I am considering doing it for my procharger becaause of the way the piping goes around the engine and not over. Its a very nice "sleeper" look under the hood.

The the kits come with bends and streight pipe. You then work your way through the engine bay. usually when you buy the kits, you end up short a piece or two. buy an extra. you can get a universal kit with FMIC for pretty cheap. pipe and FMIC are ok to get off ebay. still be cautious tho.

When he says buy the pipes, he probably means buy a bunch of J or U bends and hack away. That's what we did with my Sunfire's setup.
