i just have a ? about turbos. what are the needs just to run a basic turbo?

the basics on an ls is to sway out that motor for the 2.0 and throw on a turbo... sorry bro the LS 2.2 can be turbo'd but it's a bitch to do

yea man turboing the 07 2.2 requres use of a piggy back, as well as its a pain in the ass.

 

it's possible and can be had for about 2500 if you go custom (thats including a new intake manifold)... however you need to find someone that knows how to tune with the the AEM fic or megasquirt (a stand alone) or something like the smt-7 piggy back but really you're biggest issue is tuning.

 

now you can get a complete turbo kit from garret turbos for about 3600 but the ? is does any one else have it

 

you could but why would you when you can get quality parts and a new intake manifold

 

how much does a 2.4 maniflod help out?

seriously that and the vulcan turbo manifold look awesome for a custom turbo kit

 

same problem the tuning is what is going to kill ... your need to find someone who knows how to tune a piggy back ECU

 

the garrett kit comes with a reflash.. the garrett alpha tuning kit

sct reflash for 200 whp reliably

 

not for the 07

 

oh well then exactly why to go custom like i suggested and actually HP tuners is working on the 07 ecm and should have it cracked ( i think it's in the newest beta)
