Turbo cost?

I am just wondering from people who decided to make there own kits and not buy one already done what is the estimated cost for a custom built kit rather then buying one done for 3k

You can put yourself a cheap ebay bought kit for about 2k, or it can be as expensive as around 6k with quality parts. Personally, I spent about 4,500. I'd go with the garrett kit, it will probably save you some money in the long run.

I bought a used garret kit, and my total b4 tune is a over 3 grand but that is including clutch flywheel TOB and install fee.

Get the garret kit : )

I guess ill get the garrett thanks for the helps fellas. i heard the tune that alpha kit comes with doesnt work on 08's tho=/ so i might just get the essentials find my own intercooling kit and trifecta tune it...does the garrett turbo hold up well with 5-8psi on stock 2.2L motors?

Some of you guys have mad money in your setups, DAYUM!!! I'm putting together a custom kit, i have not added everything up yet but i'm easily at 2g's and will be more like 3g's when all is complete, and that's before i have to do a rebuild... Buy the kit, save yourself the aggravation. Alot of days, i wish i would have too....

As for spending money on the car, i have spent STUPID amounts of money, on this STUPID car... I'm addicted,lol.........

elecblue06 is running the same s/c as me but hes a 2.4

basicly will pull like n/a and build boost with rpms.. has its own oil containment so it runs way colder than the m62 and wont burn your hand if you touch it.. low Intake temps.. flows 1000cfm at 24psi should be interesting.. was a ss/sc that put one on and made about 328whp at 16-17psi..
