So Is Running A Turbo on a 2.5 exhaust extremley bad or is it doable

 

For anything around 250bhp 2.5" exhaust on a turbo setup is perfect. The turbo itself will yeild some back pressure then you want it to be nice and free beyond that. So even 3" would be fine for 200-250hp.

 

so like if I went with the zzp stage 1...which is like 60-80 i will still be fine?

 

There's nothing wrong with running even a 2.25" exhaust with that kind of turbo system. Anything over 250 whp and you might want to consider a 3", but if you're not going to build your motor you will not reach higher than that (safely) without risking catastrophic failure. So, 2.5" is fine, but for optimal turbo spool you might want to upgrade later.

 

well sentry if you know anything about that kit is their anthing additional I have to buy besides the tune? does it also matter that iam an automatic

 

i had a 02 vw gti with a gt28 turbo with a 2.5" magnaflow catback ran real nice

 

Their website is down right now, so I have no clue what all the stg 1 kit comes with.

The auto is fine, as far as I know you just need a tune as long as their kit comes with the turbo, injectors and harness, oil feed/return line, manifold, and charge piping.
